Myleene Klass has revealed she has injured herself during rehearsals for Dancing On Ice.
The radio presenter is set to take part in the upcoming series of the ITV dancing competition, but has since told fans she has torn her calf muscle.
Taking to her Instagram story, Myleene shared a snap of her professional dancing partner Luasz Rozycki, who can be seen reaching towards her.
She captioned the post: ‘Uh oh. And the reality, torn calf muscle.
‘Honestly, the respect I have for ice dancers is through the roof.’
Myleene still plans on taking part in the series, and hopefully she will make a full recovery soon.
Her co-star Colin Jackson reckons that she will do well on the ice, after seeing her in action during training.
The athlete previously told Metro.co.uk: ‘My dark horse is Myleene Klass. Oh my days. I watched Myleene get on the ice, and then I saw her two hours later – a different person.
‘She grew with confidence and skill and then she started to move and I was like… watch this one!’
He continued: ‘It sounds really odd when I say this, but she has a beautiful face and when she smiles, everything lights up. And when she lights up, that’s what it’s all about.
‘That’s the entertainment side, that’s that X Factor when you just shine, your whole spirit shines when you come alive. And that’s what she does so beautifully well, so watch her.’
Myleene, 42, previously revealed she had signed up for the next instalment of Dancing On Ice as her daughters have always wanted to see her on the show – but she had always been ‘scared someone will skate over her fingers’.
Taking to Instagram at the time the news of her participation was announced, she wrote: ‘Guess who won’t be holding the coats at the side of the rink anymore! I am so, SO excited to be joining the cast of @dancingonice.
‘My girls have always wanted me to do this but I’ve always been too scared someone will skate over my fingers!’
She added: ‘Anyway, I want to make them proud and show them I’m up for a challenge when completely out of my comfort zone but most of all, I want a bum like Jlo!’
We’re with you all the way, Myleene.
Dancing On Ice returns to ITV in early 2021.
