According to reports, one of the stars of Dancing On Ice 2024 has threatened to leave the show following a disagreement with their professional partner.
Former EastEnders actor Ricky Norwood and champion skater Annette Dytrt will return to the rink tonight for the fourth week of the tournament, following the eliminations of boxer Ricky Hatton and S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt.
For the previous two weeks, the 40-year-old has scored around the bottom of the scoreboard for his performances, getting the second fewest points on both occasions and just avoiding elimination.
Ricky allegedly rushed out of skate practice with Annette, 40, after only 15 minutes, claiming he was ‘frustrated’ with their interactions.
A source told The Sun: ‘Ricky was trying to work on his posture but Annette was getting frustrated that he was not grasping it.
‘He felt that Annette was treating him like a kid and was clearly frustrated at her lack of patience.’
The insider claimed that Ricky stormed off the ice and ‘threw his skates off in a rage while shouting “I’m done” and “f**k this”.
They added: ‘Annette is a perfectionist and wants to shine on the show, given that it is her first series.’
Annette joined Dancing On Ice as a new professional skater this year, which she described as a ‘dream come true’.
Ricky played Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb in EastEnders from 2010 to 2015, with an unexpected cameo last year.
A year after leaving the BBC soap, he joined the Celebrity Big Brother cast and finished as the competition’s runner up.
He recently hinted that he may be open to returning to Albert Square, telling RadioTimes: ‘They’ve had a year full of amazing tales. Christmas was great.
‘So if they ever needed Fatboy back in the Square, all they’ve got to do is give me a call.’
When he made his brief return in 2023, he wrote on X: ‘Guess who back..!?!? Even for a brief moment…What an episode and what an epic storyline to be apart of @missmcollins.
‘Big Thanks to Chris Clenshaw for making it happen! The @bbceastenders team for keeping it super secret.’
Dancing On Ice returns today at 6.20pm on ITV.
