Kimberly Wyatt has revealed she’s been left with questionable bruises from her training for Dancing On Ice, including fingerprints all over her thighs.
The Pussycat Dolls star, 39, revealed that she had to explain to her husband, Max Rogers, that the bruises all over her body were just from training and nothing untoward.
She told Metro.co.uk and others at the Dancing On Ice press launch: ‘It’s just constant bruises, whether it’s inflicted upon yourself from landing on the ice on your hip, or knee or elbows, or the fingerprints from your partner lifting you.
‘Literally, I had fingerprints all over my thighs and my side so I had to explain to my husband: “We were just dancing on ice!”’
Kimberly explained: ‘But I think falling and getting hurt is kind of part of it. I remember I hit my knees so hard, they were just so black and blue.
‘So I decided to wear knee pads and I came back for the next session and felt like I was ready and safe… and then I hit my elbows and my head. So you just never know what’s going to be thrown at you.
‘I think recovery is probably just as big a part of the training process as the actual time on the ice.’
Brendan Cole added: ‘We are all falling and we’re all taking tumbles. When you pushing yourself like we all are, getting ready for the live show, you’re gonna have accidents and and they happen constantly.
‘What you don’t want to do is land on the same place twice, you don’t want to land on a bruise has already been bruised three days before as that really hurts.
‘But we’re trying to keep as safe as we can because we all want to make the shows. I concussed myself on the first day which was very embarrassing. Thankfully, that was about eight weeks ago, so I’m fully recovered and cracking on.’
Dancing On Ice begins on Sunday, January 16 at 6.30pm on ITV.
