Two of the biggest names in the world of Doctor Who are teaming up for a brand new adventure, with David Tennant and John Barrowman appearing in a new audio drama together.
The pair, known for their roles as the Ninth Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness respectively, are on board for an upcoming instalment of Torchwood: Absent Friends, set to be released in May.
The new story will see the pair join forces with Cardiff’s finest alien investigators in the latest instalment of epic sci-fi series.
It comes after John returned as the beloved character Captain Jack in New Year’s special Revolution of the Daleks.
Audio series Doctor Who – The Monthly Adventures from Big Finish recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, and its celebrating the milestone by launching the new star-studded adventure.
Gareth David-Lloyd, known for his role as Ianto Jones on Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood, is also set to provide his voice for the audio drama.
Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood first aired on the BBC in 2006 and ran for four seasons.
It followed a group of alien hunters, who look into extraterrestrial incidents at the Torchwood Institute.
The Revolution of the Daleks saw Captain Jack back in action, playing a crucial role in the battle against the Doctor’s oldest enemy.
Jack first returned to the role in 2020 after a ten year absence from the show, appearing alongside Doctor Jodie Whittaker in the episode Fugitive of the Judoon.
