DIY SOS is searching for people to assist with a particular project.
The show’s organisers are looking for volunteers to help them create a children’s counselling and treatment clinic in 10 days next month.
According to the BBC, the initiative is intended to give a permanent legacy to accompany Radio 2 in the Park, a performance taking place in Leicester’s Victoria Park on September 16 and 17.
Between September 11 and September 21st, presenter Nick Knowles will be joined by BBC Radio 2 presenters and a team of volunteers for the challenge.
Interior designer Gabby Blackman said: ‘I want those young people who come here in crisis and are standing at that front door and feel like there is no hope to walk in here and be able to talk about their feelings.
‘I want them to be supported but actually be feeling safe, feeling warm, like there is light at the end of the tunnel – and this is what this building is going to be about.

This follows a family’s accusation that the show ‘wrecked’ their house.
Peter Chapman and his Cheltenham-based family taped the popular noon programme in February 2020, but have since discovered the house to be insufficient.
‘DIY SOS has robbed me of the last three years and the stress is killing me,’ Peter told the Daily Mail.
‘My wife Sarah and daughter Suzanne have not been able to use the outdoor facilities that were built by DIY SOS because it is now in a dangerous condition, which they were made aware of and they acknowledged over two years ago but nothing was done.’

It’s claimed that he also asked the organisers not to air the show in June 2022 and has faced embarrassment in his local community since.
A BBC spokesperson said: ‘DIY SOS is a heart-warming programme that brings communities together and helps improve the lives of those in need thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who give up their time to participate.
‘As with all of our previous projects, the Charlton Kings build was planned and completed in accordance with the necessary required regulatory approvals and signed off onsite by building control.’
The BBC stated that remedies to the problem had been presented to Peter, all of which he had rejected.
