Just weeks before the show’s 60th anniversary, a new theme tune has been released.
The BBC will broadcast a special edition of Sunday Night Is Music Night on BBC Radio 2 to commemorate Doctor Who’s incredible 60-year run as one of the most popular television programmes of all time.
The BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the BBC Singers, led by Alastair King, will perform on the night, which will be hosted by Jo Whiley.
The BBC published a preview of the new song ahead of the show’s premiere this weekend.
Whovians have already expressed their opinions, and the overall view is ‘Fantastic!’

‘WOW OH WOW OH WOW OH WOW,’ tweeted one particularly enthusiastic fan while pretty much everyone else echoed the same excitement.
‘We have been blessed,’ said someone else.
Doctor Who will return in November for three specials, with David Tennant reprising his role as the Time Lord and Catherine Tate reprising her role as his sidekick Donna Noble.
The first of three specials will be called The Star Beast, followed by Wild Blue Yonder and The Giggle.
Ncuti Gatwa of Sex Education will take over as the 15th doctor in an all-star cast that includes Neil Patrick Harris, Miriam Margolyes, Heartstopper’s Yasmin Finney, and Drag Race great Jinx Monsoon.
Russell T. Davies, who relaunched Doctor Who alongside Christopher Ecclestone in 2005, will return as showrunner.
Doctor Who will be available on both Disney Plus and the BBC for the first time.
The Doctor Who 60th anniversary episodes kick off on November 23.
