Doctor Who: Flux is about to be jam-packed full of British acting legends, as the trailer for series 13 revealed the guest cast.
Joining Jodie Whittaker are stars recognisable from Line of Duty, The Inbetweeners, The Crown and Cold Feet – and we’re so ready.
Of course, Jodie is returning for her final series as the 13th Doctor, alongside Mandip Gill as Yaz, who has also wrapped filming on the beloved sci-fi.
Liverpudlian comic John Bishop is joining the cast as Dan alongside Game Of Thrones actor Jacob Anderson, who’s playing Vinder.
The series will be all one story, spread across six ‘thrilling chapters’ written largely by showrunner Chris Chibnall ahead of his departure in 2022.
Line of Duty star Craig was seen very briefly in the epic trailer, but has already made a huge impact.
He’s best known for his role as DCI Matthew ‘Dot’ Cottan in the wildly popular police drama.
Craig said: ‘I feel tremendously lucky to have joined the Doctor Who family this season.
‘Chris’ scripts are witty, intelligent and full of light and shade, making my job as an actor extremely enjoyable! My son loves the show and as long as he gives me his seal of approval I’ll know I’ve done it justice!’
Blake’s new character is seen in the trailer, fearfully telling the Doctor to ‘stay away’ from him.
He’s best known for his role as Neil in The Inbetweeners and follows his co-star James Buckley (Jay) after his role in series 12.
‘It’s a pleasure to be a part of this huge show that has such a passionate fan base!’ he said.
‘I hope all the Doctor Who fans enjoy the new series and my role in it.’
Eagle-eyed fans also spotted guest star Robert Bathurst in the trailer.
They’ll recognise him as playing David Marsden in ITV comedy drama Cold Feet.
He said: ‘People say Doctor Who is science fiction. Fiction? No it’s all real, and it’s as scary to do as it looks. Great to be part of it.’
We haven’t seen too much of Annabel Scholey in the role yet, but fans are hyped for her appearance.
She’s best known for her role as as Lauren Drake in Being Human.
Known for her roles in the likes of Holby City, Last Christmas, and Unforgotten, Sara Powell has also spotted in the series 13 trailer.
Thaddea Graham is also seen very briefly in the trailer as things get very dramatic.
Fans might recognise her from her role as Bea in Netflix’s The Irregulars.
Also announced by the BBC as a guest star for series 13 is Kevin McNally.
While he’s known for his role as Joshamee Gibbs in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, it won’t be his first appearance in Doctor Who.
He previously featured in The Twin Dilemma, a classic serial which starred Colin Baker as the Doctor in 1984.
Penelope Ann McGhie
Penelope Ann McGhie’s character looks terrified in the trailer as she cries out: ‘It’s happening again!’
She most recently appeared in The Crown as Henrietta Woods.
Gerald Kyd, best known for his role as Sean Maddox in Casualty, will also feature in the upcoming series.
He also appeared in Cold Feet as Roger Muir.
Doctor Who: Flux begins on October 31 on BBC One.
