Ed Sheeran is the latest star to take on The Voice, as he helps out the US judges as the new ‘mega mentor’.
The Bad Habits hitmaker will join Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton and John Legend on the singing show and we’re so ready to see him at work.
His role will involve helping contestants prepare for the knockout rounds, and giving them a helping hand with their song choices.
Meanwhile, the coaches will have the more brutal job of choosing the winners to go into the live play-offs.
Ed’s episodes will air from October 25, and he’s already been pictured hard at work with his co-stars.
In snaps posted to the 30-year-old’s Twitter account, he can be seen posing with Kelly and Blake, and chatting away to Ariana and John (oh to be a fly on that wall).
Ed follows in the footsteps of other ‘mega mentors’ on The Voice USA.
Superstars Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Snoop Dogg have all appeared in the role.
Ari is sure to give Ed some advice as the newest coach on the panel, after she joined the show earlier this year.
The Thank U, Next hitmaker debuted on the series in September, with fans welcoming the star with open arms.
Meanwhile, Ed’s definitely keeping himself busy after his break from the spotlight, as he’s returning with his new album, = (Equals), as well as a huge stadium tour in 2022.
The star wrote on Instagram as he shared confirmed details of his latest album: ‘I started writing and recording this album June 2017. It’s been a long, long process. I’ve been through love, loss, new life, grief and everything in between during the whole period of writing it, and I feel like it’s really a coming of age record.
‘I’ve never been more proud of a body of work, or more excited/nervous for you all to hear it.’
