Emily Atack compares having a baby to a Bushtucker Trial on I’m A Celeb: ‘If at any point you want to quit the trial, you can’t’

Emily Atack has compared having a baby to completing a Bushtucker Trial on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, except there’s no way to back out of going through with the trial.

The actress, 30, shared the hilarious anecdote on The Emily Atack Show on Wednesday night, bringing out some of her hilarious impressions to hammer home the point.

Riffing off her desire to have children in the future, she told the audience: ‘The ultimate milestone is having a child. It’s like getting an iPhone – small but expensive. Nightmare if you drop it.

‘My biggest concern is if I never get to become a mother myself, I won’t ever know the life-affirming feeling of walking down the street pushing that little bundle of joy in a pram, that little thing that I’ve created. Knowing that total strangers are looking on smiling and thinking to themselves, “Milf”’.

Being the runner-up on I’m A Celeb in 2018, Emily likened the experience to winning stars for camp – except there’s no safe phrase to back out.

She joked: ‘I really want kids someday, but I have to admit… it looks really hard. I can’t be bothered. It looks like a Bushtucker Trial on I’m A Celebrity.’

Slipping into her impression of host Dec Donnelly, she said: ‘Emily, the public have voted for you to do today’s trial in order to win the stars for camp. Here’s what you have to do.

‘You’ve got 18 years on the clock to keep this baby alive long enough for it to turn into a fully grown woman and, more crucially, not become a d**khead.’

Channelling Ant McPartlin, she added: ‘Aye, but Emily, here’s the twist, like. The baby will be fighting you every step of the way. If at any point you want to quit the trial, you can’t.’

Emily – as herself – asked: ‘Not even under medical grounds?’, to which she replied as Ant: ‘No, you’re f**ked. Best of luck!’

Wonder how many stars that would earn you for camp, though…?
