Everybody stay calm! The US Office is returning to Netflix

Everybody stay calm! After breaking hearts after leaving Netflix last year, The US Office is officially returning to the UK streaming service very soon.

It’s something for comedy fans to look forward to in the new year, with the show heading back to the platform in January.

The comedy starring Steve Carrell and Rainn Wilson is one of the most popular sitcoms of all time, running from nine seasons from 2005 to 2013.

Viewers will be able to relive the episodes in all their glory in 2021, with Netflix confirming the news on Wednesday.


Teasing the news, the streaming service’s Twitter account referenced one of the show’s most-quoted moments, taken from the fire drill episode in season five.

‘Oh my god. Okay, it’s happening! Everybody stay calm. Stay calm! Stay F***ING calm!!’ the post read.

It continued: ‘The Office (US) returns to Netflix UK/IE in January.’

The Office in the American remake of the British comedy of the same name which starred Ricky Gervais, Mackenzie Crook and Martin Freeman, which aired from 2001 to 2003.

The show moved the action from Slough to Scranton, swapping paper company Wernham Hogg for Dunder Mifflin

Fans have had to deal with the show coming and going from streaming services over recent times, with the show leaving Netflix in 2019.
