Netflix viewers – be prepared, as we’re about to say goodbye to a whole load of content in June.

This month appears to be a slight exodus for romance, with the likes of Notting Hill, 50 First Dates, and Brokeback Mountain leaving the streaming platform.

Julie & Julia, starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams, will also leave Netflix this month as well as (a moment of silence please) Bratz: The Movie.

Other films set to go this month include The Help, starring Viola Davis and Octavia Butler, The Blair Witch Project, Will Smith flick The Pursuit of Happyness, and The Secret Life of Pets 2.

There aren’t too many TV series headed off the platform, but Hannibal seasons one to three is leaving, as well as Portlandia seasons one to eight.

However, there is some good news as there are plenty of great films to watch on Netflix this month.

From Million Dollar Baby and The Big Lebowski to Tragic Jungle and Fatherhood, there’s pretty much something for everyone in the new additions.

Meanwhile, the streaming giant is going full steam ahead with its originals, including the slightly bizarre America: The Motion Picture, which is coming at the end of the month.

With Channing Tatum as George Washington, Olivia Munn as Thomas Edison and Simon Pegg as King James, America: The Motion Picture promises to be something a bit different.

Washington, a ripped, chainsaw wielding man, leads the charge to take on the British in an offbeat take on the American Revolution.

Consider us intrigued.
