According to reports, the first celebrity joining the cast of Love Island‘s 2023 summer series has been announced.
Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan won the winter season of the ITV2 show earlier this year, defeating fellow couples Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall, who finished second, and Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, who finished third.
Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad both advanced to the final, putting the villa in fourth place.
While the lineup for Maya Jama‘s next season has yet to be confirmed, it has been reported that one prospective islander has been revealed as economics graduate Andre Furtado.
According to MailOnline, the 21-year-old, who completed a three-year degree in business economics and is the co-founder of fashion brand Social Kids, will be entering the villa in Majorca next month.
‘Andre is the perfect Love Island signing… he’s cool, calm, collected, and ready to mingle,’ a source said.

‘He knows himself but without being arrogant and producers are hoping his intellect, as well as his creativity and handsome looks will make him a favourite among the females.’
Despite having 17,500 followers, Andre’s design business Social Kids’ Instagram account, which he’s modelled on his own profile, is now locked to private.
Andre’s most recent Instagram post came in March of this year, when he published three photos of himself wearing a brown pullover, a black hooded gilet and light khaki pants.
‘Ainda nem cheguei mas já sentiste à presença,’ he wrote in the caption, which translates to mean: ‘Ain’t even there yet but you already felt the presence.’

He posted a photo of himself sitting on a bed in a brown T-shirt with a Social Kids logo in September of last year.
People may presently subscribe for early access to the Social Kids website via the website.
This week, Love Island’s Tom, who appeared in the 2023 winter season, announced his departure from Macclesfield FC.
‘Where do I start… this club has been right behind me throughout everything, the most I’ve ever enjoyed my football has been at this special club, the good times are unmatched and we’ve created memories that I will remember for the rest of my life,’ he wrote.
‘The decision for me to leave has been my decision and has been so tough, but now in my life there’s just too many opportunities that I just cannot turn down and moving down to London plays a huge part in that.’
The reality star thanked fans for their support, urging them to ‘keep supporting the lads’ and promising that he’ll try to come to ‘as many games as I can’.
Love Island is due to return to ITV2 and ITVX later this year.
