Fred Sirieix has admitted that things get a bit raunchy on the upcoming series of First Dates Hotel, with the cameras having to be cut at points.
With a new series of the dating show coming up soon, the star revealed that things aren’t always as wholesome as they seem.
Chatting to the 49-year-old on This Morning, Alison Hammond wasted no time in getting all the goss.
‘Is it true that sometimes the cameras have to be turned off because it gets a little bit too raunchy?’ she asked, leaving her co-star Dermot O’Leary in stitches.
‘People are in a hotel, they meet, they go to the pool, they’re having fun,’ Fred pointed out.
‘When they go a bit too far, we’re not that kind of show! We turn the cameras off and people do what they do.’
We’re sure Fred can’t blame them, though, as he’s completely loved up, recently getting engaged to his girlfriend of two years.
Meanwhile, the maître d’, who recently gave us his best tips for finding love in lockdown, has been helping out teenagers on their first dates in a recent series of Teens First Dates.
However, things were left a little awkward in one episode, when one of the youngsters forgot his date’s name.
The brand new spin-off show, which welcomes young people aged between 16 and 19 to a restaurant in Manchester, saw Archie completely put his foot in it shortly after sitting down with singer Eden.
Before the potential couple ordered their food, Eden, 19, asked Archie: ‘Do you remember my name?’
‘It’s so rare your name,’ Archie, also 19, replied, clearly clutching at straws. ‘I just can’t remember it.’
Eden then challenged her date to hazard a guess, to which he responded: ‘There’s a book about it.’
‘It’s in the Bible and there’s a project about it,’ Eden hinted.
‘Jurassic Park?’ Archie guessed with a snigger.
Eden eventually gave up and reminded Archie of her name.
Awkward! At least he won’t make the same mistake again.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and First Dates Hotel starts on Wednesday at 9pm on Channel 4.
