Ridley Road is the BBC’s latest Sunday night drama set to keep us entertained over the next four weeks.
Based on the critically acclaimed novel by Jo Bloom, the series is a thriller set against the backdrop of a swinging sixties London we haven’t seen: an East End world where far-right fascism is on the rise.
‘When Vivien Epstein follows her lover into danger and he is caught between life and death, she finds herself going undercover with the fascists, not only for him but for the sake of her country,’ the synopsis teases.
Ridley Road boasts of an impressive cast, with the stars having previously appeared in the likes of Game Of Thrones stars and Sex Education to EastEnders and Friday Night Dinner.
