Viewers think Vernon Kay is the perfect host (Picture: ITV)
Vernon Kay’s new show Game Of Talents premiered on Saturday night and viewers were over the moon to see the host back in a primetime slot.
The show saw two contestants paired up with celebrity teammates – in this case Craig Revel-Horwood and Tess Daly – to guess what talent each guest had just by looking at them.
The contestants were able to pick a money ball after making their guess, and were able to see the amount they won if they guessed right, otherwise the prize inside the ball would go to their opposing team if they got it wrong.
After a tie-break, the winning contestant gets the chance to play for the money they have accrued, by guessing which of a line-up of guests had the final talent from the board.
Contestant Ryan managed to walk away with the cash after he and Tess correctly guessed who the opera singer was from a line-up.
While the format appeared to take some getting used to for some of the fans, most were just loving having Vernon as the host after his successful stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’s last series.
They took to Twitter to praise the presenter, tweeting: ‘Okay, I quite enjoyed #GameOfTalents. Vernon Kay is great at hosting anything too’ and ‘Love seeing Vernon back on TV. Great presenter!’
Others added: ‘So nice to see Vernon Kay back on telly with a new fantastic game show!’ and ‘Loving seeing Vernon back as a game show host!’
The series, which premiered this week, will air for seven weeks following the end of the last series of Saturday Night Takeaway over the Easter weekend.
Game of Talents airs on ITV from 7.30pm on Saturdays.
