Complaints have been made about GB News (Picture: GB News)
GB News has already been hit with Ofcom complaints just days after launching.
Andrew Neil fronted the channel’s debut on Sunday night with an hour-long introduction to the presenting line-up before Dan Wootton appeared with his inaugural show.
Despite being plagued with technical difficulties, Neil told viewers that GB News would ‘give a voice to those who feel sidelined or silenced’, while ‘exposing cancel culture as a threat to free speech’.
He added: ‘GB News will not slavishly follow the existing news agenda. We are not a rolling news channel nor will we be providing conventional news bulletins. But on all of our programmes and platforms you will always know what is going on and what the country is talking about.’
During Wootton’s programme, titled Tonight Live With Dan Wootton, the journalist criticised Boris Johnson’s delaying of so-called ‘Freedom Day’.
‘Lockdowns are a crude measure,’ he said. ‘Mark my words, in the years to come we will discover they have caused far more deaths and devastation than the government has ever admitted.

‘They should be wiped from the public health playbook forever more. But, tragically, the doomsday scientists and public health officials have taken control.’
He continued: ‘They’re addicted to the power and the government are satisfied its 15-month-long never-ending scare campaign has suitably terrified the public into supporting lockdowns.
‘But if we don’t fight back against this madness, some of the damage will be irreversible.’
Ofcom has confirmed that 373 viewers complained about Tonight Live With Dan Wootton.
The nature of these complaints have not yet been confirmed.
Since GB News made its way onto the airwaves many viewers have taken issue with the sound quality.
On Wednesday, an official stated that the team is ‘working hard’ to make improvements to its audio output.
