Gemma Collins has thanked Piers Morgan for being ‘kind and understanding’ after breaking down on his show Life Stories.
In scenes which aired last night, the reality star broke down as she recalled contemplating suicide after she split with James ‘Arg’ Argent.
Gemma also told the Good Morning Britain host that she plans to kill off her GC persona when she has children.
Taking to Instagram after the one-off episode aired, Gemma paid a tribute to Piers and to her family, who have stood by her through the ‘highs and lows’.
Posing in a bright pink crop-top and black leggings, Gemma looked as glam as ever as she shared the lengthy post.
‘Thank you @piersmorgan for being so kind and understanding behind the GC facade there is just a girl from Romford with BIG DREAMS,’ she began.
‘Everyone can do it you just need to BELIEVE. THANKYOU to all my family and friends for standing by me through the highs and lows.’
The 40-year-old went on to talk about what the future will bring to GC, and she’s feeling very positive about it.
She continued: ‘The journey continues….The only way is UP. Everyone has brought me to this moment and I thank you all personally, Well and truly from my HEART.
‘From everyone who believed in me in the TV industry but first and foremost…MY WONDERFUL FAMILY because we came from nothing! Hard work, Determination and most of all LOVE, Your my EVERYTHING!!’
Thanking her best friend and her ‘rock’, Gemma concluded her post by telling her fans, she will ‘continue on my journey’.
‘I have learnt a lot, made mistakes and been above my stations and I’m sorry for that!!! but I have grown !!! Here’s to the next chapter,’ she added. (Sic)
During her interview with Piers, Gemma got emotional when talking about her relationship with Arg.
After watching a video outlining their relationship, Gemma explained: ‘When I see a picture of James in the grey cardigan, he was really well then.
‘For anyone that ever thinks about taking drugs, or just trying it for one night, you do end up getting really addicted.
‘I was really happy with James, and we did get on, but the drugs changed him as a person, and it was… I fought every day for three years to get him well.’
