Storm Huntley is rumoured to be taking Holly Willoughby’s spot on the This Morning sofa.
When Holly, 42, revealed earlier this month that she was leaving the ITV daytime programme she had co-hosted for 14 years, the gossip mill went into overdrive.
Viewers have already speculated on who would fill her shoes, with Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond presently picking up extra presenting roles alongside Dermot O’Leary and Craig Doyle.
So, with Ben Shephard allegedly replacing Phillip Schofield, might he and Channel 5’s Storm be our new daytime duo?
Who is Storm Huntley?
Storm Huntley is most likely most recognised for her work on Jeremy Vine’s show.
The 36-year-old Scottish presenter joined the show when it took over for The Wright Stuff in 2018.
She has also worked on the seasonal CBeebies show Down on the Farm since 2015, for which she was nominated for a Bafta Scotland Award in 2016.
Similarly, her rumoured predecessor Holly began her career on children’s television, having hosted on CBBC in the 2000s.
Storm is a co-host of the daily live morning phone-in discussion show Jeremy Vine, where she welcomes callers to the presenter.
She also reads out reader letters and has her own solo stint from 11:15am (when Jeremy leaves to host his BBC Radio 2 programme) until 12:40pm, when she discusses the day’s issues.
In terms of her personal life, the actress is married to Kerr Okan, lead vocalist of the rock band The LaFontaines.
They will marry on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland in September 2021, with fellow television presenter Carol Smillie serving as the officiating registrar.
Storm declared on Jeremy Vine after their wedding that her professional name will now be Storm.
In July 2022, she gave birth to their son, Otis.
Will Storm Huntley replace Holly Willoughby on This Morning?
At the time, no choice on new This Morning hosts has been made.
However, suspicions remain following the award-winning daytime show’s difficult year.
Following Phillip Schofield’s departure earlier this year, after admitting to having an affair with a considerably younger male colleague and lying about it to bosses and loved ones, other notable hosts have been employed on a rotating basis, rather than securing a permanent stand-in for Phillip immediately.
Fans are still waiting for a formal announcement on Holly and Phillip’s successors, but Storm has emerged as a surprising contender.
Before her name was mentioned, it was reported that Kate Garraway of Good Morning Britain would be joining the team.
Then it was revealed that executives were hunting for married couples to be the “next Richard and Judy.”
Emma and Matt Willis, comedian Joel Dommett and his wife Hannah Cooper, and Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy were all said to be on the market.

Taking to Instagram to address the headlines, she wrote: ‘Very flattering but I think there may be a scheduling issue there.’
