Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford has married to his fiancee Paige Yeomans.

The 26-year-old casually revealed at the National Television Awards that not only has he become a dad, he is now a married man after tying the knot in a ‘nerve-wracking’ ceremony.

2021’s been a pretty busy year for Pete, eh?

The reality star flashed his wedding ring on the red carpet and told OK!: ‘I’m married now! It was nerve-wracking but the best day of my life. Well, second best day as I’m a dad now, too.

‘I’m buzzing [to be at the NTAs] as I got a full night’s sleep in a hotel so I’m well happy. [Being a dad is] tiring. The lack of sleep is not cool but it’s definitely worth it.’

Pete confirmed back in February that he was engaged to girlfriend Paige, revealing the news on Gogglebox.

His sister Sophie asked: ‘Do you feel any different now that you’ve got engaged?’, with Pete replying: ‘Yeah, I think. I feel like, an even bigger responsibility. I don’t know why. I’m going to have a wife.’

He then revealed on an episode of Gogglebox in April that he and Paige were having a baby.

As well as dropping the wedding bombshell, Pete confirmed that he and Paige have welcomed their son, after castmate Julie Malone congratulated him on the news.

He told The Mirror: ‘He’s a cool little lad, takes after his mum, not me! It’s a bit overwhelming, got it all going on at the moment!’

Pete, his sister Sophie, Julie and her husband Tom represented Gogglebox at the NTAs in London, and accepted the factual award on behalf of the show.

Julie took the chance to honour Gogglebox stars Pete McGarry, Mary Cook and Andy Michael, who have all died over the past few months, saying: ‘On behalf of all the Gogglebox families, I’d just like to say thank you for this award and, on a sadder note, I’d like to nominate it to all the people we’ve lost sadly over the past 18 months, two years.

‘That’s Andy, Pete, Mary, and everybody’s favourite grandma, June [Bernicoff], who’s now reunited with Leon. Thank you so much.’
