Good Morning Britain presenter Laura Tobin is said to be thinking about taking part on Strictly Come Dancing 2021.
Her colleague Ranvir Singh is competing this year with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice.
On Friday’s Good Morning Britain, showbiz reporter Richard Arnold – a former Strictly star – told presenter Charlotte Hawkins – another former Strictly star – that Ranvir wasn’t happy with them for not telling her ‘the truth’ about her gruelling the dancing competition can be.
He said: ‘She was saying, “you always told us it was great fun but no one has ever told us just how to difficult it was”. You’re in the firing line for that too, Charlotte.
‘Tears and tantrums there are, but at the end of the day it all counts on the performance doesn’t it.’
Richard went on: ‘She did say if Laura throws her name into the mix, possibly next year, that she will actually tell her the truth about what it’s really like.’
Of course next year’s Strictly is a long way off and we’ve got this year’s to enjoy still.
Richard Arnold appeared on Strictly in 2012 with Charlotte Hawkins going for it in 2017.
Their fellow Good Morning Britain stars Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway have also taken part on the show in 2013 and 2007 respectively.
Ranvir has spoken previously about how physically tough Strictly has been.
‘I had my ankles in ice and peas. It was painful physically,’ she said on the ITV show after her first dance.
‘All the techniques you’ve just learnt go out the window on Monday and you have to learn a new one. Friday comes around so quickly so it’s kind of daunting to be honest.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
