Gregg Wallace has stated why he enjoys rewatching every episode of MasterChef.
The 59-year-old TV personality is best known for co-presenting MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef, and MasterChef: The Professionals on BBC, where he has worked with John Torode since 2005.
As the original approaches its 20th anniversary, Gregg has confessed that he enjoys watching every episode so that he may reflect on his costume selections throughout time.
‘I watch because I want to look at what shirts look better than others – there are some outfits I’m not wearing again,’ he said.
Meanwhile his co-host told OK! that although he only watched the ‘occasional’ episode, his family liked to watch most of them.
‘So, I usually hear my voice and see various things,’ he added.
But after nearly two decades on the programme, John joked that he had noticed a difference in his appearance, but it wasn’t one he wanted to dwell on.
‘I went grey,’ he said.
‘And I would have gone grey if I had hair!’ Gregg added.
Gregg, clearly unconcerned about self-reflection, revealed last year that he began each day by Googling himself.
During an Instagram live, Gregg said that he checks Google Alerts every morning to see what reports about him have surfaced overnight.

‘I’ve got a mug of coffee with me, I’m going to be off to the gym in about five minutes to get there for six o’clock,’ he began.
Talking fans through his morning routine, he went on: ‘I get up in the morning, straight in the shower, and then I check my texts, my emails, I check my Insta account – this is modern living, right.’
‘Then I go onto Google Alerts to see what Gregg Wallace stories may have happened overnight,’ he laughed.
He went on to share he believed the routine was ‘part of modern life’ and that he thought ‘we all probably do the same’.
MasterChef is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
