Gwen Stefani has been dabbling in country music a whole lot more since she began dating boyfriend Blake Shelton.
And now the hitmaker is giving her partner a run for his money as she joined Jimmy Fallon for a playful country remake of some of her hit singles.
During her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, the 51-year-old was happy to take part in a fun country music sketch.
Jimmy began the skit as he said: ‘Howdy I’m Buck Pinto, here with a new record I think y’all are going to be mighty excited for see.
‘If you’re like me, you love the sweet sounds of down home country music, but if you’re also like me, you love the rockin’ music of multitalented superstar Gwen Stefani. Problem is, you got to choose one or the other.’
He continued while holding up a record of Gwen in denim and cowboy hat: ‘Well, not anymore, thanks to this new album, Gwen’s Gone Country.’
The infomercial then explained that, if you ‘like your ska and pop by the way of the south,’ then this album is definitely for you.
And then Gwen turns up strumming a guitar and rocking a red and white cowgirl ensemble as she sang new versions of her No Doubt hits such as Don’t Speak.
While she also belts out snippets of country-inspired renditions of Spiderwebs and Hollaback Girl with some interesting ‘southern aesthetics’ in the background.
We don’t know about you but we could totally get into Gwen doing a country covers of her hits!
