Hacks: How to watch the new HBO Max show in the UK

Hacks is the brand new HBO Max drama starring Mare Of Easttown’s very own Jean Smart and it’s next on our watch list.

The 10-part drama follows Deborah Vance (Jean Smart), a legendary Las Vegas comedy diva looking to appeal to a younger audience.

Deborah’s agent sends Ava (Hannah Einbinder), an entitled 25-year old, to help freshen up the material, but instead, Deborah begins mentoring her.

The comedy has become a huge hit for HBO Max and has a rare 100% rating from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes and has already been renewed for a second season.

When is HBO Max’s Hacks released?

Hacks premiered on HBO Max last month, with the first two episodes airing on May 13.

The series concluded on June 10.

Can I watch Hacks in the UK?

There has yet to be any word yet on whether the show will air in the UK.

HBO Max often does deals with Sky and NOW, so there is a chance that it will be available in the future.

Can I access HBO Max in the UK?

HBO Max launched in the USA last May and rivals the likes of Disney+, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

In March 2021, WarnerMedia confirmed that HBO Max would not launch in the UK, Germany and Italy before 2025 due to its HBO programming deal with Sky.

What else has Jean Smart been in?

Jane Smart is an award-winning actress who has starred in a number of television shows over the years.

She received two Emmys for her role as Lana Gardner on the NBC sitcom Frasier and a third for her portrayal of Regina Newley on ABC’s Samantha Who? which ran from 2007 to 2009.

More recently, Jean starred alongside Regina King and Jeremy Irons in Watchmen, which aired in 2019.

This year, she played Kate Winslet’s on-screen mum in Mare Of Easttown.
