If you can’t handle gore, look away, as Harry Judd ‘took slices of his finger off’ while competing on Cooking With The Stars just minutes into the new show.
Tonight, Cooking With The Stars is launching on ITV, with celebrities including Denise Van Outen, Johnny Vegas and AJ Odudu showing off their culinary skills after being trained by mentors.
Emma Willis, who is co-hosting the programme with comedian Tom Allen, explained to hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on Tuesday’s This Morning that none of the stars on the show could cook before.
After revealing that McFly drummer Harry only knows ‘how to use a toaster and a microwave’ in the kitchen, a clip from the programme showed the musician wincing in agony after cutting his finger with a knife.
‘I’ve literally sliced a chunk off,’ Harry says in the clip, as a medic runs his hand under water.
‘I can’t look!’ his competitor Denise exclaims as she turns her face away from the gruesome scene.

While standing on the sidelines, Tom remarks to Emma: ‘We’re literally three minutes into this cook and it’s already a bloodbath.’
On This Morning, Emma outlined how the celebrities had a couple of weeks of training in the kitchen with their mentor chefs, but during the actual competition, they’re placed under the immense pressure of only having an hour to prepare their dishes.

Speaking about Harry’s injury, Emma said that he ‘did that in the first five minutes of the first record’.
‘They put a plaster on it, and it started bleeding through so they put two gloves on him, he was like I don’t want to stop, I want to carry on,’ she recalled.
After the first hour when ‘the adrenaline was going’, Emma recollected Harry saying that it was ‘really sweaty’ in his glove.
However, when the glove was taken off, it turned out it wasn’t sweat making Harry’s hand feel wet – leaving Ruth looking extremely uncomfortable over the visual .
‘He took like slices of his finger off,’ Emma added. An important reminder to always be extremely careful in the kitchen!
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and Cooking with the Stars launches tonight at 9pm on ITV.
