Season 2 of Netflix’s famous programme Heartstopper has here, and fans have been waiting for it.
The show, based on Alice Osman’s graphic novel series, stars Kit Connor as rugby player Nick Nelson and Joe Locke as timid youngster Charlie Spring, who fall in love while attending an all-boys grammar school.
However, because Charlie is being bullied and Nick has not yet come out, they must keep things quiet.
It’s no wonder that excitement for the new series is strong, given that the first shattered streaming records and catapulted its youthful cast to celebrity.
Season 2 appears to be even better than the first, with critics claiming that “television doesn’t get much more magnificent and nourishing.”

What time is Heartstopper season 2 released on Netflix?
Heartstopper season 2 will land on Netflix at around 8am on Thursday August 3.
This is in keeping with the release pattern of new Netflix shows at midnight San Francisco time, where the company’s HQ is located.
There are eight episodes in total in the new series, each of them with a running time of just over half an hour.
All of them will be released at once, meaning you can binge watch to your heart’s content.

What will happen in Heartstopper season 2?
The synopsis for season two teases: ‘With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris and a prom to plan, the gang has a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love and friendship.’
The teaser hints that we have a lot to look forward to as Charlie and Nick’s romance develops – yet while Charlie is screaming it from the rooftops, Nick is keeping things quiet.
With season two’s new characters such as Nick’s father Stephane and brother David (played by Thibault de Montalembert and Jack Barton, respectively), we’ll have to wait and see how his attempts to come out to his family play out.
Meanwhile, Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) and Tara (Corinna Brown) have difficulties in their relationship as it becomes more serious, while Elle (Yasmin Finney) and Tao (William Gao) strive to figure out whether they can be more than friends.
Meanwhile, new characters include Mr. Farouk (Nima Taleghani), who may be a romantic interest for Mr. Ajayi (Fisayo Akinade), and James McEwan, a previously unknown student played by Bradley Riches.
