Thousands of us have returned to classic sitcoms for comfort during lockdown – but have you ever wondered what our favourite shows would look like if they were filmed during the pandemic?
Comedian Lucia Keskin has put together a brilliant new video reimagining some of the UK’s favourite shows during the age of coronavirus.
The clip revisits some of the most-loved comedies from the past 40 years, and it might just change the way you look at them forever.
First up, we’re treated to an update on Gavin and Stacey, with Lucia mastering the accents of Gavin, Stacey, Pam and Nessa in the spoof. Nessa eyes an opportunity in the clip too, selling her own vaccine on eBay for £200.
Lucia also brings us her take on David Brent from the Office, boasting that he’s immune from the virus because he takes vitamin supplements.
The Inbetweeners, Miranda and Absolutely Fabulous also get revisited, with Lucia giving inspired impressions of Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley in the latter.
There’s also The Vicar Of Dibley, Derry Girls, Stath Lets Flats, Catastrophe, Outnumbered, The IT Crowd and This Country – with Kerry Mucklowe bemoaning the fact that gyms were shut.
Lucia also takes a swipe at Boris Johnson, who struggles to relay the message to ‘stay at home’ and ‘wash your hands’ during an interview with her version of Philomena Cunk from Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe.
It’s one of the best videos we’ve seen during lockdown – and the content comedy fans could all use right now.
