Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield apologise as This Morning dogged with technical issues

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield apologised on This Morning after technical difficulties meant viewers at home weren’t able to hear them.

Coming back from an ad break, the pair addressed the issue and said they were hoping it would be fixed.

‘Welcome back. Are you having sound problems today with our show?’ Phillip asked.

‘Apparently some people are having issues with the sound. We apologise for that.

‘It seems it’s okay leaving the pair of us. So somewhere down the line there’s an issue, but we are looking into it.’

Holly agreed and joked: ‘We were! During the break we were there, we were putting cables together, and we couldn’t find it.

‘I’m all plugged in, you’re probably not even hearing this.’

Phillip then joked around trying to ‘find the issue’ around the table, before getting told off for hitting his mic pack in his back pocket.

The sound issue has seemingly been a continuing problem throughout the day, with Good Morning Britain having the same problem.

Viewers declared they were switching off at the beginning of the morning, after the sound kept dropping during Ranvir Singh’s 6am news report.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
