Holly Willoughby confirms she doesn’t wear underwear in bed in racy This Morning segment

Holly Willoughby spilled the beans on her nighttime routine, revealing she doesn’t wear underwear while in bed.

On today’s instalment of This Morning, the 40-year-old and fellow presenter Phillip Schofield, 59, sparked a discussion on whether or not pants should be worn while sleeping.

Making his feelings known, Phil confirmed he sleeps completely naked, before putting the spotlight firmly on the mum-of-three.

‘In bed you should just wear a smile,’ he insisted.

‘Ermmmm, Holly? You started this, we’ve all fessed up. Would you wear pants under your pyjamas?’

‘I would wear a big T-shirt…,’ she replied, before erupting into a fit of giggles. ‘No pants, no pants. No pants.

‘Stop making me say no pants on the TV.’

Good to know.

The pair have helmed the show together for years and usually have viewers in fits of laughter with their antics on our screens.

However, lifting the lid on life behind the cameras, they explained it’s a lot more emotional than they let on, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.

In fact, discussing how the last 16 months has impacted them in a joint interview, they explained there are many moments they are on the verge of tears.

‘When a Spin to Win winner says, “Oh my God, you’ve been amazing”, “I’ve entered since the start”, that kind of thing – you’ve got to be quite careful because I think we’re all on the edge, you could cry at the drop of a hat,’ he told the Sunday Mirror.

‘It’s so hard sometimes and you think, “You have to centre yourself”.

‘We are all on the brink of tears all the time, so it doesn’t take much to push.’

Holly and Phil have been a source of comfort to many viewers during such a tough time, but they wanted to make it known that it’s definitely a two-way street.

‘We’ve been told by viewers we were like the nation’s comfort blanket, which is just amazing,’ Holly continued, with her co-star agreeing: ‘The viewers were our comfort blanket too.

‘I mean we’re lucky because of the job that we do with that extended family, so you have support from viewers.’

This Morning continues on weekdays, at 10am, on ITV.
