The return of Russell Crow. This is not a typo. Russell, not the actor, but the crow, returned to the This Morning set on Wednesday to the dismay of Holly Willoughby.
Helen Motteram, the bird’s devoted owner, brought him back to the London studio this week for the first time in six years to appear on the show.
Holly, 41, was as as startled as she had been the previous time the bird flew by the studio; she even jumped behind co-host Phillip Schofield. Poor Russell had one eye down this time around, having the organ removed owing to an infection.
Holly slid behind Phillip, 60, when he got up to feed Russell, and continued until she reached the far end of the couch.
Parental figure Phillip appeared to be having a joy pushing food into the animal’s mouth, while Holly joked that she was only “battling through” the trauma.
Holly asked Phillip after he was given the all-clear from Helen to feed Russell.

To which he said, “I’m doing this to protect you,” as he pushed himself between her and Russell.
Helen told the host that Russell, who suffers from separation anxiety and is afraid of pyrotechnics, was now sleeping in her bedroom.
When Russell initially visited the studio six years ago, Holly spent much of the section hiding behind Phillip and did not do nearly as well as she did this time around.
Helen took the cat in after discovering him in 2016 near a Prezzo in Cheltenham.
Helen had to create a crowdfunding website for Russell’s eye surgery right before Christmas.
Actor Russell Crowe heard about the campaign and donated $884 (£500) to help his feathered counterpart get well.
Helen said on her Facebook page, “A Christmas Miracle happened today as Russell Crow was given amazing support by a very famous actor with a very similar name.”
‘I honestly couldn’t believe it as I opened up my emails today and his campaign! It’s incredible.’
We are just pleased to Russell Crow is back on our TVs.
