Holly Willoughby fans reckon they’ve cracked the case of the missing This Morning presenter – and believe she’s currently shooting her upcoming stint in Midsomer Murders.
The daytime TV presenter, 40, was surprised with the opportunity to appear in the latest series of the murder mystery drama back in March – something she quickly accepted though joked she’d need to be killed off.
This week, Holly surprised fans by announcing she would be taking an extended Easter break for a secret project, with Rochelle Humes stepping in to join Phillip Schofield.
Putting two and two together, fans of the star reckon that she’s currently filming her scenes for Midsomer, which is currently in production in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
Underneath an Instagram photo where she spoke about ‘something she wasn’t allowed to reveal yet’, one fan wrote: ‘Thinking could it be midsummers TV drama. I remember them asking you to join them on the drama and they would see what they could arrange.
‘This was a few weeks ago when you and Phil were chatting to a couple cast members one morning on your show. Good luck whatever it is.’

‘Checking your script out for Midsomer Murders maybe?’ joked another.
Holly was seen squealing with joy on This Morning when Midsomer stars Neil Dudgeon and Nick Hendrix made an appearance from the set of the latest series.
As Phillip teased there was something she didn’t know, Neil stepped in and told her: ‘We’ve all had a big talk about who we want to appear on Midsomer, and we decided we want Holly Willoughby to appear in an episode of Midsomer Murders very soon.

‘I’ve been speaking to people upstairs and they’ve been speaking to your people.
‘Holly please, I am emboldened here to offer you a role in Midsomer Murders.’
Immediately accepting the opportunity, Holly then asked if she could join the show’s ranks of increasingly bizarre killer cases, and requested she was murdered with chocolate.
Fans are now eager to see if she’s a killer or killed off.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
