Holly Willougby has posted a nice remark about a former colleague from This Morning, months after leaving the ITV show.
In October of last year, the host announced her departure from the daytime TV programme, stating that it was a ‘tough farewell’.
Despite her leave, she has not left ITV permanently, as she just returned to Dancing On Ice with her new co-host, Stephen Mulhern.
On Monday, February 5, the 42-year-old posted a sweet Instagram tribute to her former This Morning co-star Alison Hammond in honour of the presenter’s 49th birthday.
Sharing a selfie that they took together at last year’s National Television Awards, Holly wrote in her caption: ‘Happiest of Birthdays to this Dream Queen… love ya @alisonhammond55 have a day as beautiful as you 🦄🩷✨🧚♂️🎂🍸.’
Alison responded by writing: ‘Thanks darling 😍,’ as fans left adoring comments about the pair’s friendship.

‘Lovely picture ladies ❤️,’ wrote an Instagram user called Lisa, while a fan named Steph added: ‘Love this photo of you both!’
Alison celebrates her birthday alongside her son Aiden, who turns 19 today.
Holly announced her departure from This Morning in a statement that read: “I have informed ITV today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.”
‘To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.
‘Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.
‘Richard and Judy said “we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers”. It’s been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family. I will miss you all so much. Holly.’
Holly apologised on a recent show of Dancing On Ice after accidently cursing live on TV.
The presenter cautioned viewers that it’may have sounded like a foul word slipped out’.
‘I don’t think I did! But I’m sorry if that’s what you thought you might have heard, but I don’t think I did,’ she added.
‘I’ll watch it back on ITV player, because that’s where you can watch these things back. But I’m sorry!’
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
