Disney Plus boasts an array of entertaining TV shows and films, from WandaVision to The Mandalorian, animated classics and more.
Later this month, the streaming platform is introducing a new service called Disney Plus Star, where viewers will be able to watch series such as Grey’s Anatomy, The X-Files and Ugly Betty.
While it will be exciting to catch so much gold content in one place, the launch of Disney Plus Star will mark an increase in the price of a subscription.
But, if you sign up in time, you’ll be able to save 20 per cent on a subscription. Here’s how.
How much is a Disney Plus subscription?
In the UK, a subscription for Disney Plus currently costs £5.99 a month – which would equate to £71.88 a year – or £59.99 a year if you pay in one go.
However, from Tuesday February 23, this price will be hiked up to £7.99 a month (£95.88 a year) or you can pay £79.99 straight up for the year.
If you want to sign up to Disney Plus for an entire year with the cheaper price, you need to make sure you do so before Disney Plus Star’s launch on February 23.
This would save you 20 per cent on a year’s worth of Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar content, if you sort your subscription in time.
For existing Disney Plus subscribers, the price of their subscription will not increase until their first bill after Sunday August 22 this year.
How can you sign up for a Disney Plus subscription?
You can create a Disney Plus account either on the platform’s website or on the Disney Plus app.
The app can be downloaded on smartphone devices, Smart TVs and Amazon Fire TVs.
Subscribers can register Disney Plus on up to 10 devices and one account can support up to seven profiles – while you can stream content on four devices at the same time.
