I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! welcomed its first-ever wolf to the series as part of tonight’s trial and it completely stole the show.

The adorable animal was brought in with the intention of giving Victoria Derbyshire a fright as she slowly attempted the Critter Clink, but instead, the good boy left the journalist completely unphased.

Before it made its grand debut, Ant and Dec explained to Victoria that she had to collect 11 stars hidden in the prison, with each star protected by a castle critter.

As Victoria entered the first room of the prison, she was met by the warden holding a wolf.

Not bothered by the wolf’s presence, Victoria knelt down and said: ‘Hello my darling, hello gorgeous.

She then gently approached the beast and gently retrieved a star from its collar.

Viewers were in awe of the animal, with many saying they would have sacked off the trial altogether to spend time with the good boy.

‘I’d have spent the entire trial time petting him,’ wrote one. ‘Screw the stars, I’d rather spend time with the floof!’

Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘I love him!! He’s very cute and definitely friendly. The way he moved closer to Victoria for a stroke was very sweet!’

Meanwhile, others laughed at the idea the wolf had been roped in to scare Victoria as they branded the trial ‘easy’.

‘Not saying the celebrities have had it easy this year but a trial consisting of pigeons, millipedes and a friendly wolf doesn’t really seem too difficult,’ one fumed.

‘I would have liked to have got 11 obviously or 10, so 9’s going to have to do,’ she said. ‘I’m going to be a little bit proud of myself.’

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
