I’m A Celebrity 2020: AJ Pritchard quashes ‘beef’ with Shane Richie

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star AJ Prtichard has set the record straight with his supposed beef with Shane Richie.

The duo appeared to lock horns in the castle and at one point, viewers were convinced the dancer, 26, gave him a side-eye look over washing up chat.

However, speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, AJ confirmed there is no bad blood whatsoever between him and the former EastEnders star – and in fact, Shane will be joining him on his podcast AJ vs Curtis.

Casting his mind back to his clash with Shane over the dishes, AJ told us: ‘When I asked him about the dishes it was 3’o’clock in the morning and everyone was dead.

‘Obviously, I cleaned the pots and pans when he was out doing the castle coin challenge and my cleaning was cleaner than his, but he openly admits that cleaning is not his forte.’

AJ added: ‘We’re good friends. I think it’s always funny. We have spoken.

‘We have a group WhatsApp, but also I spoke to him separately. I think he’s going to come on mine and my brother’s podcast next week.’

Earlier this month, Shane spoke out about the tense scenes between him and AJand insisted the reports made ‘no sense’.

Appearing on This Morning, Phillip Schofield asked about the tension, and whether it was something Shane recognised – to which he replied: ‘No, not at all.

‘AJ has gone on record to say the same as well. I saw it and I went, “That didn’t happen!” There were certain things, we had so much fun… My wife will tell you, I’m quite lazy around the house.

‘And so AJ, he’s so clean, he was one of the cleanest in the castle, he always made sure things were sparkling clean. We kind of put him on a pedestal.

‘If anything [we would go], “AJ, are you alright with that?” “Yes mate, I’ll do it.” So when I saw that conflict, it made no sense whatsoever. It kind of didn’t happen.’
