I’m A Celebrity viewers were quick to call out Jess Plummer for giving herself an unfair advantage against AJ Pritchard in Friday night’s live trial.

Friday night brought with it the first live trial of the series and it saw the celebrity campmates split into teams: the Lords and the Ladies.

They were forced to go head-to-head in the Royal Tournament that was made up of four games and saw the celebs trying to collect as many gold coins as they could for their team’s chest.

It was everything to play for as the winning team would be treated to a lavish banquet, while the losing team would have to go hungry and take part in the next trial the following night.

One round saw AJ and Jess go head-to-head in game where their hands were locked in stocks and their head was locked in a box filled with five rats and five naked rats.

While AJ was quick to get into position, Jess needed a little more coaxing and was pressed by Ant and Dec to basically hurry up as they were limited for time.

However, when she finally did stick her head through to the rats, her hands didn’t lock properly in the stocks and fans felt she had an unfair advantage to AJ, as she had more room to manoeuvre with.

‘Surely they have to give AJ some bonus for that? He was in the box for ages and Jess’ arms weren’t even locked into the stocks?’ tweeted one viewer.

‘Fuming the Jess ain’t even got her hands in the stocks properly #ImACeleb rigged,’ claimed one fan, as another posted: ‘I mean Jess didn’t have her hands in there properly…doesn’t seem fair.’

Other viewers pointed out that it wasn’t Jess’ fault she hadn’t been secured in properly, with one fan tweeting: ‘Everyone saying Jess cheated like she was the one who put the stocks on wrong, wasn’t her fault.’

‘The amount of people hating on Jess but the ranger/ant & dec didn’t say anything about her arms so relax,’ agreed another.

‘Everyone moaning that Jess didn’t have her arms in the stocks properly she couldn’t see the guy was supposed to do it, instead he put it ON her wrist &then clearly thought screw it as theyre live ,fair enough there’s been a lot of cheating but that was out of her hands,’ posted one more.

The first game saw Ruthie and Hollie battle it out against Jordan and Shane to fish coins out of a trough of offal using only their mouths, with the boys beating the girls three coins to two.

Vernon and Victoria were up next and locked in cages, covered in critters, and forced to unscrew as many coins as they could in one minute. Vernon bagged 11 coins, while Victoria secured six.

And the boys secured their win with the final game, after Mo and Russell beat Giovanna and Beverley to unscrew more coins while their hands where in a box of locusts and a royal python was placed each of their necks.

It meant that the boys aka the Lords won themselves a banquet dinner, while the girls (the Ladies) had to put up with rice and beans and gear up for Barbaric, the latest Bushtucker trial.

I’m A Celebrity airs nightly at 9pm on ITV.
