I’m A Celebrity fans were left in stitches during Friday night’s episode as they witnessed Sir Mo Farah falling over in a giant robin costume.
The Olympic gold medallist and Victoria Derbyshire were the latest stars to take part in the Castle Coin Challenge and this one came equipped with an hilarious costume.
It saw Sir Mo and Victoria dressed as giant robins and having to find and pick up hidden worms with their beaks. They had to fit the worms into a nest in order to win their bag of coins to exchange for treats with Kiosk Cledwyn.
Before their challenge began, however, Sir Mo left viewers watching at home baffled as he fell over his own feet after changing into his costume.
It left fans in hysterics, as they pointed out that the sports star has been pretty clumsy since entering camp – ironic given that he’s pretty fast on his feet.
‘Considering Mo farah is an Olympic gold medalist runner he has trouble staying on his feet. Bless him. #ImACeleb,’ teased one viewer, while another quizzed: ‘Why is Mo always falling over?’
‘How the hell did Mo win any gold medals?! He is so clumsy,’ tweeted another fan.
‘MO FELL OVER OMG,’ cried one more viewer, while another entertained fan posted: ‘Mo falling down is one of the funniest things ever.
‘For someone who needs to be stable on your feet for a living you sure do fall a lot Mo,’ teased one fan, as another joked: ‘For a runner, mo’s not very good on his feet.’
Sadly for Mo and Victoria dressing up as huge robins on national TV didn’t get much better for them, as they failed to bring back their jelly worm sweets.
The rest of the camp answered incorrectly when asked what percentage of British adults are reluctant to tell people their age: 22% or 10%? They settled on 22%, leading to Kiosk Cledwyn shutting up shop and Victoria joking that she was pretty ‘clucked off’.
Still, the costumes gave the celebs all a good laugh when Mo and Victoria rocked up back to camp.
Viewers then saw Mo taking on the Fort Locks trial, which saw him retrieving stars from locked hell holes filled with critters, offal and fish guts.
He managed to secure nine stars, meaning nine meals for camp, but admitted he was left feeling pretty ‘disappointed’ that he didn’t manage to get a full house.
‘That was not easy. Going home with nine stars, I am disappointed,’ he told hosts Ant and Dec.
Mo, who fell over once again while being covered in fish guts mid-trial, headed back to camp and enlisted the help of Jordan to help him wash the bad stench out of his clothes.
Jordan teased: ‘I thought it was me being dramatic because I haven’t got a good gag reflex. Honestly, I’ve never smelt anything like it. He absolutely stunk.’
I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV at 9pm.
