I’m A Celebrity’s Jordan North was left feeling pretty chuffed with himself after absolutely smashing his latest trial.

The Radio 1 presenter has had a pretty rough ride since entering the camp, after being continuously voted in by the public to take on the bushtucker trials.

First up, he had to face his fear of snakes alongside Shane Richie and then fans cruelly picked Jordan to take on the dreaded eating trial with Vernon Kay and Beverley Callard.

He came out triumphant in both of those, but that wasn’t enough for those watching at home, as they chose Jordan to taken on the Trapped Door for his first solo trial.

Naturally, he had been pretty nervous and when faced with an underground tunnel, Jordan didn’t look pleased as he told hosts Ant and Dec that he’s not a fan of confined spaces.

Boosted by his previous trial successes, he was determined to give it a go, though, telling the pair: ‘This whole process has been a massive confidence booster for me. I was scared of everything. I’ve done everything now. I’m going to give it a go.’

Jordan had to lie down on a trolley inside the tunnel and pull himself along, releasing stars as he went.

The first section saw him unscrew stars from a wire, the second saw stars on poles that he had to move around to release and for the third, Jordan had to put his hands in holes he couldn’t see into to get the stars inside – of course, throughout it all he was being covered in critters.

Jordan was convinced he had one last star to find and was frantically searching around in the last minute of the trial, before his time was up. You can imagine his surprise then, when he counted his stars and realised he’d had the last star in there all along, securing him all 12.

‘That’s like putting on your jeans and finding a fiver,’ Dec joked.

‘I cannot believe I got 12 stars, I’m chuffed to bits,’ he said after the trial, before joking to his campmates: ‘I only got 12.’

Jordan said: ‘I’m absolutely buzzing. Let me tell you. There’s no better feeling coming back to camp on your own and telling all your campmates you got 12 stars. Their reaction was better than what I imagined. I’m elated. I’m so happy.’

‘We’re so proud of him,’ Jess Plummer said. ‘Forget the food, it’s not about the food. Jordan, vomit off the side of a cliff edge Jordan, got a full house all by himself. It’s incredible.’

I’m A Celebrity continues nightly on ITV at 9pm.
