Jordan North is home safe and sound after leaving the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! castle, but admits he’s ‘not slept well’ while adjusting to life outside of the camp.
The BBC Radio 1 presenter finished runner-up in the grand finale on Friday with Happy Mum podcaster Giovanna Fletcher being crowned queen of the castle.
On Sunday, Jordan shared his first video since returning home and thanked fans for their overwhelming support during the past month.
‘I’ve just not slept well over the past couple of days – a lot going on,’ he began, adding: ‘I’m leaving this message to say thank you for all your lovely messages over the past couple of days. I’ve received so many nice tweets and messages from people since I got out.’
Jordan continued: ‘I wanted to say thank you for that and also thanks to everyone who voted for me whilst I was in the castle. I’ve said it many a times I honestly didn’t think I would get to the final let alone runner-up.’
The presenter admitted it was a ‘humbling experience’ to come out of the castle to realising how many people voted for him to win.
Sending ‘big love’ to his campmates, Jordan continued: ‘I’m missing them already. We’ve got a Whatsapp group set up and we’re all speaking on there which is fun.’
Jordan then acknowledged the £20,000 that was raised for charity in his name after T-shirts honouring his beloved football team Burnley FC going on sale.
‘I can’t believe the happy place Turf Moor t-shirts raised so much money for Pendleside Hospice so I think they’re sold out but I’m going to get back on there this week and hopefully we can sell some more because it’s a great charity,’ the DJ said.
He then gave a special shout-out to his parents, Wendy and Graham, and the rest of his family for their support.
Before rounding off his video, Jordan snuck in a quick joke about his mum’s claim to fame and quipped: ‘I did say to Wendy before I went in there, don’t do any press, don’t get involved with anything, then I get sent a screenshot of her on Lorraine in her dressing gown but other than that, it’s all good.’
Now that he’s out of the castle, it’s reported that Jordan wants to ‘get his teeth done’ after watching himself on the series.
