Poor Jordan North. The easily scared Radio One DJ hasn’t had the easiest time since arriving on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
As one of the least known contestants before heading to the North Wales castle, the 30-year-old has now been nominated for every trial so far – so much so that some fans have begged others to leave him alone.
Throwing up before even starting the first task, he’s since been locked into a confined space with snakes, eaten testicles, and will now head into a trial known as Trap Door.
But Jack Cooper of Ed Hopkins PR reckons that, while he’s panicking through the trials, his time on the show has done his career the world of good – and actually puts him in favour with viewers.
‘Jordan is definitely winning the hearts of the nation hence why they are voting for him to do the trials – so they can see more of him,’ Jack explained to Metro.co.uk.
The terrified DJ and podcaster has become compelling viewing since he first appeared on screen on Sunday night – and unfortunately for him it’s made him ripe for the public vote for trials.
To date, there’s only one he’s missed, and that was only due to newcomers Ruthie Henshall and Russell Watson having to do it as they were introduced to the show.
So while Jordan might not be feeling it right now, his career could take a massive upturn if he manages to stick it out.
‘Jordan is most certainly getting some great air time on the programme this year which is going to do his celebrity profile a world of good,’ Jack continued.
‘Since the episode of Jordan’s trial with Shane airing, his Instagram following rose by a huge 14,500 followers.
‘It shows that he is most certainly creating a great fan base from going into the castle and his name is definitely spreading.
‘I predict that from going on the show, Jordan will most certainly follow in Roman Kemp’s footsteps and get some TV presenting jobs off the back of this.’
‘This will be a huge stepping stone for him and his career.
‘He’s definitely one to watch and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him on Strictly Come Dancing or Dancing on Ice in 2021.’
To be fair, he would definitely fit in more there – considering there’s less for him to be scared of.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs nightly at 9pm on ITV.
