I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! has had to make a lot of big changes this year – including reportedly replacing the show’s iconic character Kiosk Kev with Kiosk Cledwyn.
TV bosses were forced to adapt the 2020 series due to the coronavirus pandemic – they even swapped the Australian jungle for the Welsh countryside.
The show will now be set at Gwrych Castle in Wales – which has become a particular hotspot for those who like to have sex outdoors (apparently).
Another big change, is that Kiosk Kev won’t be appearing on the show.
Kev, whose real name is Mark Herlaar, is actually an Australian lime farmer and former reality star.
And because of Covid-19, bosses were unable to fly Kev over to Wales, so they have had to rope someone else in instead.
‘ITV bosses are having a lot of fun with the tweaks being made to this year’s series, including the characters who’ve been on the show since it started in 2002,’ a source told The Sun.
‘Obviously flying Kiosk Kev to the UK was a no-go so they’ve cast Kiosk Cledwyn.
‘The name is a bit of an in-joke and is a nod to Cledwyn, who was the Secretary of State for Wales in the late Sixties.’
In 2018, Kiosk Kev replaced Kiosk Keith, and was put in charge of the Outback Shack.
The celebrities would visit the shack as part of the daily Dingo Dollar Challenge – where they would be set a question which they had to answer correctly in a bid to win treats for the rest of camp.
This year, Kiosk Cledwyn is reportedly going to be the face of a new task set for the campmates, titled the Castle Coin Challenge.
Earlier this week, it was also reported that for the first time ever Medic Bob would also be absent from the show.
The beloved doctor, real name Robert McCarron, will not be able to take part in the show due to travel restrictions.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here returns on Sunday on ITV.
