I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Shane Richie made a dramatic entrance to the Welsh castle in scenes that aired last night as he fell out of a hammock shortly after arriving.

The former EastEnders star took a tumble as he and the other celebrities on the line-up inspected their sleeping quarters, leaving the nation in floods of laughter.

Disaster struck when Shane went to test out one of the hammocks, but appeared to get in too enthusiastically and was flipped out onto the ground ending up underneath it.

‘I tried the hammock and it doesn’t work!’ Shane exclaimed.

His fellow campmates were in hysterics over the blunder, and Jordan North ran over to give him a helping hand.

Viewers were also in stitches, with one writing on Twitter: ‘Shane Richie falling out of the hammock on @imacelebrity has made my evening.’

Shane Richie falling off the hammock is the highlight of my week,’ added another.

Off to a good start, eh Shane?

Shane wasn’t the only celebrity who had a rocky beginning though as Radio 1 presenter Jordan threw up before even setting foot on camp. Yep, really.

The DJ vomited as he geared himself up to abseil down a cliff face, admitting that he was incredibly scared of heights.

So really, it should come as no surprise that Jordan (and Shane) has been voted by the public to take on the first trial, which will air in tonight’s episode.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
