I’m A Celebrity viewers have finally given Jordan North a break, as Sir Mo Farah was revealed as the latest star to be facing the next Bushtucker trial.

Heading into camp on Thursday night’s episode, Ant and Dec put each campmate out of their misery one by one, leaving just AJ Pritchard and Sir Mo nervously waiting to hear if they had been picked.

It was revealed that Sir Mo will be the one taking on the next challenge, titled Fort Locks, and getting his first taste of what it’s like to be bringing home the bacon for camp.

He’s got tough boots to fill as Jordan smashed his latest trial, Trapped Door, that saw him locked in an underground tunnel and covered in critters while he tried to retrieve those all important stars.

Despite admitting he hates ‘confined spaces’ and won’t even go in lifts, Jordan managed to shake off his fear and and successfully win himself the entire 12 stars for camp.

Following his efforts, he told viewers watching at home that he was ‘elated’.

Jordan said: ‘I cannot believe I got 12 stars, I’m chuffed to bits,’ he said after the trial, before joking to his campmates: ‘I only got 12.’

The Radio 1 presenter continued: ‘I’m absolutely buzzing. Let me tell you. There’s no better feeling coming back to camp on your own and telling all your campmates you got 12 stars. Their reaction was better than what I imagined. I’m elated. I’m so happy.’

He’ll no doubt be enjoying his night off, as Jordan has been voted in for the last three trials.

First, he faced his fear of snakes alongside Shane Richie in the Viper Vault and then he tackled I’m A Celeb’s dreaded eating trial, where he was confronted with sheep’s penis, cow’s tongue and a big ol’ bowl of fermented catfish broth.

Fans will see how Sir Mo fares in his first trial on Friday night’s episode of the show, with Ant and Dec teasing the first live trial of the series too.

I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV at 9pm.
