McFly musician Tom Fletcher has hilariously poked fun at the tension that rose between his wife, podcaster Giovanna Fletcher, and television presenter Vernon Kay on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, when Vernon unwisely tried to interfere with Giovanna’s cooking.
During last night’s episode of the ITV programme, Giovanna and Sir Mo were tasked with preparing hare for dinner, which took them a significant amount of time to do.
Several of the campmates started growing impatient, including Vernon, who went to check on a pan that had been placed on the fire.
When Giovanna spotted Vernon picking up the pan and swirling the oil inside, she stared fixedly at him, seemingly annoyed that he had encroached on her cooking.
Her husband, Tom, shared a hysterical version of the clip on social media, with the screen going red and horror movie-music playing in the background as Giovanna watches Vernon, a stern expression on her face.
‘Vernon has obviously never been in an Italian mum’s kitchen…’ Tom wrote, adding: ‘Sorry honey, couldn’t resist.’
Several I’m A Celebrity fans loved Tom’s quip about the dramatic moment.
‘When me and my mum saw that face we both said ‘oh damnnnnn’ in unison,’ one person tweeted.
‘Aahh, so that’s the look the kids get when they are being naughty,’ another fan wrote.
Someone else described it as the ‘best thing I have ever seen’, while another remarked: ‘If looks could kill.’
During Tuesday morning’s episode of Lorraine, Giovanna’s close friend, television presenter Emma Willis, discussed the ‘mum looks’ Giovanna gave on I’m A Celebrity last night.
‘We saw a few little looks from her last night, and they were typical mum looks,’ Emma said, going on to imitate the kind of look Giovanna showed on the programme.
‘But she’s not the type to explode,’ Emma added.
‘She will keep it all there, and then she’ll go to what I still call the Bush Telegraph and she’ll probably just cry, because she kind of lets it out emotionally like that.’
I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9.15pm on ITV.
