I’m A Celebrity 2020: Vernon Kay says he’s ‘wasting away’ from hunger

The hunger is really starting to set in for the campmates on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! – especially for poor Vernon Kay.

The former Family Fortunes host feels like he is ‘wasting away’ after eating a diet of rice and beans over the past few weeks.

Don’t worry Vernon, the end is near.

Giovanna Fletcher and Jessica Plummer also commented on how ‘narrow’ he looked in camp.

Speaking in the Telegraph Vernon began: ‘I look in the mirror and I’m like “come on, I’m wasting away” but it is what it is and Christmas is around the corner.

‘It means I can have an extra portion of turkey, roast potatoes, broccoli, sprouts, carrots, turnips, swede, gravy, Yorkshire pudding, Christmas pudding, custard…..all of that.’

The campmates are certainly feeling the tiredness and hunger now as Jessica commented: ‘The tiredness, the lack of energy has spread to the whole camp.’

Beverley Callard even joked that she wanted a face lift she was that tired.

The celebs don’t have long left in the Welsh castle as there are only a few more days until the final.

On last night’s episode, we saw Beverley and Victoria Derbyshire voted off in a shock double elimination.

Before that West End star, Ruthie Henshall was given the boot, as well as Paralympian Hollie Arnold.

With just a few days to go, who will be crowned King or Queen of the castle?

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs daily at 9pm on ITV.
