Victoria Derbyshire’s son Ollie has shared a beautiful photo of his mum’s ‘happiest moment’ after the broadcaster opened up about having breast cancer on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

The broadcaster has had an emotional experience on this year’s series so far and that continued in Saturday’s episode when she recalled the moment she found out she had cancer.

Speaking to camp mate Jessica Plummer she praised the NHS for ‘saving my life’.

The TV presenter underwent a mastectomy after her diagnosis in 2015.

Her son Ollie has been watching his mum’s progress at home and has taken charge of her social media while she is in Wales.

On Saturday he posted a lovely photo on her Twitter account from her wedding to partner Mark Sandall in 2018, having beaten the disease.

In the picture Victoria, wearing a stunning wedding dress, beams at Ollie with his younger brother Joe smiling beside them.

‘Ladies and gentlemen I give you: My mums happiest moment (And one of mine too)’, he wrote.

Speaking on I’m A Celeb about her health battle, Victoria said she likes to speak openly about her diagnosis in order to help others.

‘I am really passionate about talk to people about breast cancer, I’m so open about it, even though it was recounting some painful times.

‘I loved having a young woman asking me about it, someone who’s, gone through it so I could just tell her the facts.’

Jessica appreciated the conversation too, adding later: ‘Victoria is an incredible strong woman. I feel like I’ve learned so much just from that conversation. So much that I’m going to make sure I tell my daughter.’

Victoria previously took part in Real Full Monty: Ladies’ Night in 2018 where she joined celebrities such as Coleen Nolan and Michelle Heaton in a burlesque routine to raise awareness of breast cancer.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
