ITV addressed claims the campmates on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! are being given little luxuries such as hot water, heated rooms before trials and cigarettes behind-the-scenes.
The show began on Sunday night with 10 new stars all swapping their celebrity lifestyles for the gruelling nature of the I’m A Celeb camp.
TV favourites such as Richard Madeley, Frankie Bridge and Louise Minchin are all hoping they have what it takes to become the next King or Queen of the Castle.
However, whilst those taking part have been vocal on how grim the conditions of the show’s two camps are, claims emerged in The Sun reporting celebs were given hot water, contrary to what viewers would have seen on the show.
ITV has now insisted the celebs are required to do various daily tasks in order to receive ‘lukewarm’ water.
It was also claimed by the publication the famous faces are given a heated Portakabin to wait and prepare for trials and are allowed to smoke.
The celebs have to make sure they burn wood, pump the pump and do this for 40 minutes twice a day, to which production is alerted to when this is completed, to ensure lukewarm water.
A show spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘There is NOT a secret supply of hot water.’
If the celebrities do not do tasks and daily chores, they continue to receive a cold water supply.
Emmerdale star Danny Miller has even complained The Clink has seen ‘icicles’ form on the shower due to how cold it is.
ITV also responded to claims stars such as Danny and footballing legend David Ginola are allowed access to cigarettes and go for smoking breaks.
The spokesperson also told us celebrities have ‘always’ been allowed to smoke, after these reports were made.
Fans have seen half the campmates banished to the Castle Clink, an even more basic version of the main camp at Gwrych Castle.
Bosses previously told MailOnline the shower used in The Clink is even more basic, and they have no proper beds to sleep on.
They said: ‘It is a much smaller living space; they do get to sleep inside at least but there will be no beds for them – they will sleep on the floor.
‘There’s a very primitive shower camp but most of their daily lives will be within a cramped and claustrophobic courtyard, all their cooking, eating, washing up, and the chores they do will all happen outside.
‘They are really going to be on top of each other for the first few days.’
Danny, Richard and David are all currently staying in the Clink, alongside former Strictly judge Arlene Phillips and Naughty Boy.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
