I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Here! has made an action-packed return to our screens, but there’s one thing viewers aren’t happy about on social media.
Fans have headed online in their droves to complain about the number of advert breaks during Monday night’s show.
The programme aired from 9pm to 10.15pm, with five advert breaks in that time – an amount ITV says is ‘no more than is usual in a programme of its length’.
It didn’t stop viewers hitting out, though, with fans criticising the numbers of breaks.
‘The only thing that’s always annoyed me about #imaceleb is all the ad breaks, it is a bit excessive,’ one said.
‘With all these ads #ImACeleb is only one for 10 minutes of actual show,’ another added.
‘Way too many ad breaks and not enough action,’ one more went on to say.
ITV said in a statement to Metro.co.uk: ‘The number of minutes of advertising shown in I’m A Celeb is no more than is usual in a programme of its length and is fully compliant with allowances stipulated in the Ofcom Code on the Scheduling of TV Advertising.’
Meanwhile, Monday’s episode saw soap star Danny Miller smash his retch-heavy trial.
On the menu were cow teats, pig brain and fermented catfish during the first eating challenge of the series.
The Dreaded Diner task saw the Emmerdale actor, who was the first celebrity put up for a challenge by the public vote, face radio DJ Snoochie Shy and win a meal for his team in The Clink.
Danny is currently enduring tougher conditions in the cells below Gwrych Castle alongside yellow team campmates Richard Madeley, Dame Arlene Phillips, Naughty Boy and David Ginola – who is already quite the camp heartthrob.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns tonight at 9:15pm on ITV.
