I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Of Here! star Frankie Bridge has spoken about her time in camp, admitting that she and the other contestants ‘really struggled’ at points.
The Saturdays star found the ‘highs’ and ‘lows’ of camp life tough on her way to finishing in third place on the series.
Frankie looked back at her stint in Gwrych Castle in North Wales during an interview with OK!.
‘It was really difficult,’ Frankie said. ‘I was shocked at how high the highs were and how low the lows were and how quickly you switch from one to the other.
‘That was a struggle, but it was a struggle for everybody. So the way I managed it was by talking because a lot of us were feeling the same. Everyone was so kind in there and we really looked out for each other.’
The 32-year-old went on to say: ‘It was really emotional. I was just desperate to see them by the time I got home. The boys were lovely, they gave me a massive hug and so did Wayne. It was everything I had imagined the whole time I was in there.’
Frankie came in third in the 2021 series, missing out on the crown to Danny Miller, meaning she, Danny and Simon Gregson spent the longest time away from their loved ones.
She recently admitted that time in Gwrych Castle hasn’t made her any braver, despite the fact she was rained on by bugs and trapped in a glass box full of snakes.
There were plenty of gross-out moments she had to endure too, like when she drank fermented eggs and pig anus and begged ITV bosses to wash her underwear as they ‘stank of fish guts’.
Appearing on Loose Women recently, the star admitted: ‘My son did ask me how many times I’ve washed, because he wanted to be sure I was clean enough to be home!’
She also revealed that her sons missed her so much when she was in the castle that they begged their football star father not to vote for Frankie so she would get booted out of the castle and have to come home early.
