I’m A Celebrity star Giovanna Fletcher decided to take her kids to see the castle where she’ll be hanging out for the next couple of weeks.
The author, 35, who is married to McFly’s Tom Fletcher, is set to take part in the new series of I’m A Celebrity this year, with the show ditching its usual jungle location for a haunted Welsh castle.
The coronavirus pandemic has forced the much-loved series to take place here in the UK instead of Australia and before heading into hiding as she gears up to make her I’m A Celeb debut, Giovanna took her children to see the castle she’ll be calling home.
She is now hidden away, like the rest of this year’s campmates (castle mates?) and her husband Tom has taken over her Instagram account while she’s on the show.
He shared a sweet picture of Giovanna and her two eldest sons Buzz, six, and Buddy, four, hanging out by the castle’s walls. She and Tom are also parents to son Max, two.
Tom wrote alongside his post: ‘Making the most of isolation! Obviously Gi wanted to minimise the time she was away from the kids so we all went for a little adventure before she was cut off from the world.’
He revealed: ‘The @imacelebrity castle is somewhere beyond that wall. ? (This is Tom here btw…hi!) #imaceleb.’
The musician will be looking after the couple’s boys while Giovanna takes on I’m A Celeb’s revamped bushtucker trials and he joked that he’ll be absolutely fine solo parenting when asked by a fan how he’ll cope.
Sharing a GIF of kids driving over their dad in a toy car, Tom tweeted: ‘Don’t worry about me. I got things under control while @MrsGiFletcher is in @imacelebrity.’
It’s no surprise that Giovanna has been trying to size up her new camp, as she doesn’t sound so keen on coming into close proximity with a haunted castle.
‘Are we inside the castle? If we’re inside the castle at any time, that might be scarier than just being out in our camp,’ she joked ahead of the show.
It’s believed AJ will still appear on the show, following reports claiming he had tested positive for coronavirus.
All contestants were required to quarantine for two weeks prior to the start of the show, which Ant and Dec will be back to host.
I’m A Celebrity returns Sunday 15 November at 9pm on ITV.
