I’m a Star…I Need to Get Out of Here! After watching Nigel Farage in hotpants, fans got more than they bargained for.
On the most recent episode of the reality show, the four remaining campmates were overjoyed to learn that they would be competing in the much-loved Celebrity Cyclone.
However, as is customary, people taking part were expected to dress like a superhero and choose an out-of-this-world moniker to boost their confidence before taking on the challenge.
The former politician chose to change his name to the Disruptor since he had “spent my entire life disrupting things.”
While former boxer Tony Bellew chose the moniker Teddy T, Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson chose Super-Merf.
Meanwhile, Josie Gibson of This Morning chose Finger Slinger.
The four renowned faces had to equip up before taking to the course, which involved donning capes…as well as some pretty tight hot pants.
Tony was horrified by what he had to wear and claimed that he would now have to search for property in Australia since he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to return home because of the disgrace of wearing such tight shorts.
Nigel, on the other hand, didn’t appear to like the attire, but when Josie saw it up close, she didn’t know where to look and tried her best to avoid her gaze.
As she put it: ‘It feels like you’ve just walked in on your dad wearing your mum’s underwear.’
Even hosts Ant and Dec issued a ‘public safety warning’ to everyone watching on, saying that they should probably look away from the three men on screen if they had a ‘nut allergy’.
But it was too late for some, who were shocked to see a former politician dressed so casually.
‘Nigel Farage in skimpy green hotpants is not an image I needed on a Saturday night,’ one viewer posted on X, formerly Twitter.
‘I can’t unsee Nigel Farage in green spangly disco hotpants,’ someone else shared.
Another added: ‘Omg Nigel put some underwear under the hotpants! It’s about popping out!’
One person joked they were ‘mentally traumatised’ by the sight.
Following the completion of the challenge, Sam said it was the ‘best thing I’ve ever done in my life’.
‘It was everything I could have dreamed of. It’s made my year.’
Josie then quipped that she was surprised by how hard the balls thrown at them hit, while Nigel requested that the jets be restarted.
‘Can we do it again, please? I loved it. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. I was holding on for dear life. Enormous fun.’
Following the cyclone, the group shared a soft serve until it was time for the last elimination, with Josie being sent home by popular vote.
